28 Summit Center
This 54,000 sq. ft. medical office building, with three stories of office space and a basement-level parking garage, is located at a major intersection in a rapidly growing commercial district. At an urban scale, the project maximizes the area available on the site and prefigures the growth and density of the immediate area, while considered at the scale of an individual; it is a study in varying vocabularies of craftsmanship. Masonry details and patterns, based on a handcrafted brick module, coexist with custom-designed elements like sleek aluminum light fixtures, mosaic tile trim, and a precast concrete frieze.
