The Edge

Capturing the experience - through the woods, over the marsh, across the Intracoastal Waterway, and out to the ocean through an inlet between two barrier islands – guides the design for this full-time residence on the coast. Sitting at the edge, between woods and water, the house acts as a threshold between both places, allowing them to be appreciated simultaneously. Large shaded porches and a ground level, largely enclosed by glass, offer areas of habitation only subtly differentiated from their spectacular natural setting.
