Office ProfileThe work our firm produces is the result of a collaboration. In a studio atmosphere we research, debate and design - employing the particular talents, backgrounds, and personalities of each designer. This collaborative approach to architecture offers our clients designs that have been thoughtfully and thoroughly developed. ![]() ![]() |
Personal ProfilesMichael Ross Kersting - AIA I grew up in southern New Mexico and came to the east coast to complete my architectural education. After gaining professional experience in several different cities, including Washington, DC, and Santa Fe, my wife and I chose to settle in Wilmington, where I formed Michael Ross Kersting Architecture, P.A. in 1995. Having recently built my personal family house, I enjoy spending weekends mowing the lawn in between kids sporting events and music recitals. michael@kerstingarchitecture.com Mark Wilson - Associate AIA Growing up as a P.K. (preacher’s kid) I roamed around the Northeastern part of North Carolina before finally running with the NCSU Pack in Raleigh, NC. Upon completion of my Master’s degree in 2003 my interest in designing residential and commercial architecture within a specific regional setting helped me find my way back closer to sea level. When I am not pursuing the rigors of architecture, I may be found collaging the pages of my life with my beautiful wife by my side as we try to keep up with our young son (and new-born daughter), travel to see family and friends or enjoy an array of outdoor activities like hiking, biking or cross country skiing. mark@kerstingarchitecture.com Channing Glover - Associate AIA I'm a local boy... I returned to the Port City after finishing my degree at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, to pursue a career in architecture and be closer to my family. I enjoy spending most of my time in the great outdoors hunting, fishing, and working around the yard. When I have a free moment, I dabble in furniture design and fabrication, with a number of pieces built to date. Currently, my wife, Kimberly, and I are expecting our first "little glove" in the winter. channing@kerstingarchitecture.com Patti Outlaw Patti often called the office “MOM” is originally from the Oak Island area. She worked for a local Oral Surgeon for 3 years and then worked for nuclear power plants for 12 years. During this time she got to travel all over the U.S. from Florida, to Maine, and even to Mexico. She continued to travel with an Engineering/Construction company, Kellogg Brown and Root for almost eight years landing her in Texas and finally Louisiana. She enjoys so much being on the “creative” side of a project and being part of the energy that goes into every design that comes out of this firm. patti@kerstingarchitecture.com |
